Snoring and Sleep Apnoea

Sleep apnoea (also spelt Apnea), refers to disordered breathing during sleep. It can involve pauses in breathing or obstruction to the airway thereby reducing the passage of oxygen. These disruptions can last for short periods but if they happen multiple times a night the overall quality of sleep and oxygen levels may be severely affected. Because the disorder disrupts normal sleep and oxygen flow, those affected may experience sleepiness or feel tired during the day. In children it may cause hyperactivity or problems in school.

SomnoDent oral devices are clinically proven mild-to-moderate obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA).
They are also effective treatments for snoring alone. As a mandibular advancement splint (MAS), the SomnoDent oral devices function by comfortably positioning the patient’s mandibular forward, clearing the obstructed airway.
